With over 4 decades (43 years) of family ownership, spanning 3 generations, Northland Resort has been a place where families return year after year to experience the best of northern Minnesota summer’s. Northland offers an authentic northern experience rooted in tradition and care. With 19 comfortable cabins and a wide range of activities, there’s something here for everyone!
Kids enjoy planned activities throughout the week, while guests of all ages make the most of our large sandy beach, swimming docks, and campfire pits. Spend time on the water with kayaking, paddle boarding, and boat rentals! If you have your own boat, you’re more than welcome to bring it along to take advantage of a boat slip in our protected harbor.
After a day outside, unwind in the game room with the pool table, or gather with family and friends around a camp fire!
Leech Lake in northern Minnesota is one of the state’s most iconic destinations, known for a mix of natural beauty, recreation, and is especially famous for walleye fishing. It’s consistently ranked as one of Minnesota’s top fishing lakes and draw’s anglers from all over the Midwest for walleye, muskie, northern pike, and bass.
With over 100,000 acres of water, it’s one of the largest lakes in Minnesota, offer wide-open sunset/sunrise views, peaceful bays, and incredible shore lunch fish meals!
The Paul Bunyan State Trail is about 115 miles long, running though Walker, giving you an optimal chance to experience the ample amounts of wildlife -loons, bald eagles, deer, turkey, and much more!
